The Streetcleaner is a Lesser Machine introduced in 1-2: THE BURNING WORLD, and is the third Machine-class enemy that the player encounters in ULTRAKILL.

Streetcleaners are humanoid machines with brown armored plating, rectangular heads, and long, black skirts. They have small red tanks along their wrists and wield flamethrowers with a pipe connected to a larger, highly explosive glowing red fuel tank on their backs that continuously emits smoke and a faint orange glow.

    Behavior

Streetcleaners will chase after the player to light them on fire with their flamethrower. They can also parry explosives such as Cores Cores and Rockets Rockets, by kicking and redirecting them to their right. They can also dodge roll out of the way of other projectiles such as Shotgun Shotgun bullets, the Whiplash Whiplash, Nails Nails, and Sawblades Sawblades. Their dodge has a 3-second cooldown.

    Attacks

    Flamethrower
Upon getting close to the player, Streetcleaners will emit a blue flash and fire their flamethrower for about a second.
This attack deals 20 damage per tick.

    Strategy

Streetcleaners are dangerous enemies due to their powerful flamethrower and agility. However, the fuel tank on their back is a major weakpoint that can be sniped with a Coin Coin Ricoshot from behind the Streetcleaner with the Marksman Revolver Marksman Revolver, causing it to explode and awarding the + Instakill style bonus. If they are killed normally and the tank is still present on the back of their corpse, hitting the tank with a hitscan weapon will also cause it to explode. The player will take 50 damage if they are hit by this explosion.

Even without the instakill strategy, hitscan weapons are the best tools for taking out Streetcleaners. The Alternate Piercer Alternate Piercer's alternate fire or a well-placed Sharpshooter Sharpshooter alternate charged shot are two great alternatives. Grabbing a Streetcleaner with the Whiplash Whiplash and then punching them with the Knuckleblaster Knuckleblaster will send them hurling towards the ground, instantly killing them and awarding the + Splattered style bonus. Streetcleaners are also killed instantly if they are submerged in water.

It is vital to keep away from Streetcleaners at all costs; their flamethrower can be fatal, and it is extremely difficult to heal off a Streetcleaner with Shotgun Shotguns due to their dodging ability. However, their dodging ability cancels their attacks and can be used to escape dangerous situations by forcing them to dodge projectiles.

    Difficulty Changes

    Harmless

    Violent

    • When in proximity, the flamethrower stream is continuous.

    Brutal

    • When in proximity, the flamethrower stream is continuous.
    • Fire attack has a bigger hitbox and can now be aimed upwards, though only to 45°.

    Terminal Entry

    Streetcleaner

    TYPE: Lesser Machine

    DATA:
Originally built as a way to purify the tainted air of cities after the climate catastrophe, Streetcleaners were made obsolete during the New Peace, and were repurposed as scouts for Hell expeditions.

However, their urge to clean remained, and after the fall of mankind, they began burning any organic matter they came across in an effort to purify the world.

    STRATEGY:
    - Due to their combat experience, they can be tricky to take down with projectiles or explosives.

    - The canister on their back is a major weakpoint that can be shattered with a precision shot, such as a Marksman coin ricochet from behind.

    - Point-blank attacks can also be very efficient, but must be performed quickly to avoid the fire of their flamethrowers.
