Big Johninator is a secret boss found in 7-1: GARDEN OF FORKING PATHS.
Big Johninator appears as a pale, seemingly robotic man with metallic skin, red, glowing eyes, and a cigar in his mouth. He wears a monochromatic flecktarn camouflage bodysuit and helmet, a gray, collared military vest with three metal grenades strapped to it, black combat boots, and carries a large crimson minigun and backpack.
Behavior
Big Johninator moves similarly to V2, jumping and running circles around the player while alternating between firing off various projectile attacks. He will also randomly play one of his taunts during his attacks, which he does not stop attacking to say, unlike
Gabriel.
Attacks
Rocket Barrage
Big Johninator fires three rockets at the player, each of which deals 35 damage. These rockets can be frozen with the Freezeframe Rocket Launcher and ridden back into Big Johninator, awarding the player with the + Round Trip, just like with the rockets from the
Guttertank.
Malicious Blast
Big Johninator fires an explosive beam at the player similar to that of the Malicious Face, which deals 50 damage. The beam, including the charge-up, cannot be parried. The beam's charge-up is also noticeably shorter than that of the Malicious Face. However, the beam can be chargebacked.
Landmine Drop
Big Johninator deploys Landmines, ranging from 1-3 at once, which he continuously does even while blind with the Blind Enemies cheat. Landmines set off once they are within close proximity to the player, and will jump up into the air before detonating and exploding, dealing 35 damage. Landmines do not disappear when Big Johninator is killed.
Activated Landmines can be parried. A Landmine parried into an enemy will give the style bonus + Served. If the Landmine is parried into Big Johninator, it will instead give the style bonus + Landyours
Strategy
As Big Johninator is not immune to his own rockets like Guttertanks are, one can simply freeze them with the Freezeframe Rocket Launcher, often causing him to run into them and eventually destroy himself, or shoot the rockets to hit and knock him away from the player.
Timing dashes right is crucial to defeating Big Johninator, as making a wrong move can result in extreme damage from rockets or malicious blasts.
Explosions can also launch him high in the air, leaving him fairly vulnerable for an extended period of time.
Placing a Sawblade trap at his spawning point will deplete most of his health immediately, and can potentially kill him instantly if the player
Railcoins immediately afterward. If the player is running low on health, parrying Landmines instantly restores all health and can be effective weapons when directed at Big Johninator.

Trivia
- Big Johninator has eight voice lines, each taken from the 2013 version of the first-person-shooter game Rise of the Triad. They were recorded by Dave Oshry for the boss Big John, and then edited to sound more "robotic".
- Big John is also referenced elsewhere in the game, as his face texture, taken from the 2018 first-person-shooter game DUSK, is a custom grid texture in The Cyber Grind.
- Big Johninator is the first boss that can be encountered in Act III, and likely the final joke boss of the entire game.
- Big Johninator's model was previously used for the Davy Oshry statue found in the Developer Museum, before being replaced by the current version (with his dog Saul).
- The backpack and minigun that Big Johninator wears and wields appear to have been taken from DUSK HD, an optional graphical overhaul for DUSK.
- Even though he clearly wields one, he has no attacks that cause him to fire bullets from it.
- Big Johninator's AI is re-used from
V2, and will not attack either version of V2 with the enemies attack each-other cheat enabled.
- Big Johninator can even have rage toggled on him via the
Spawner Arm due to this, although its duration is way shorter compared to when V2 is enraged. This seems to have been a leftover from V2's AI code.
